Use Type:  Discretionary Use
Proposed Development:  Change of Use to a Group Care Home / A variance has been granted to allow 5 persons in need of care to live within the existing dwelling.

Group Care Home definition: "means a development within a dwelling that provides services to up to 4 persons in need of assistance due to age, physical or mental disability, addiction, behavioral issues, illness, or injury. The accommodation and hospitality services provided as part of this use may be complemented with supportive health services, such as health monitoring and medication assistance. Any additional services must be arranged for off-site."

Note: Per Condition #3, addiction excludes drug & alcohol.

Deadline to file an appeal:  September 10, 2024 at 4:30 p.m.

Any persons wishing to appeal the above decision must do so by filing a written “SDAB - NOTICE OF APPEAL FORM” together with a $500.00 fee to the Secretary of the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) Box 1480, St. Paul, Alberta T0A 3A0 no later than September 10, 2024 at 4:30pm.
